Through monitoring and advice workshops given in the communities. has aroused interest in innovating and developing their businesses by creating added value in the products they offer, that is, families have found a new way to take advantage of their resources, coming from their plots or patios, growing through their sales the home and community economy.
Local People Leading their Community
In homes, on porches, inside churches, the CHE ministry is at work: studying the Bible, planning to repair a road, learning a skill that will augment the family income. They are praying for each other: for illnesses, for crops to survive the drought, for their discipleship groups, and for the CHE volunteers’ home visits to be a blessing to their neighbours. CHE volunteers go out in pairs, and share what they are learning with their neighbours. In some communities they organize entire classes, and repeat the CHE trainer’s class for those who could not be there.
CHE members also serve their community: by cleaning the school, taking meals to the elderly and infirm, taking a health census of the community children, holding Bible studies, working with the authorities to bring about needed improvements.
